Grammy award-winning recording artiste Buju Banton copped the most votes to come away with the MOBO for the Best Reggae Act, during the 2020 staging of the long-running award’s ceremony. The other nominees who completed the category were Popcaan, Koffee, Lila Iké, and Protoje.
Shenseea, Koffee, and Popcaan were also among the Best International Act nominees.
Other big winners included Nigerian favourites Burna Boy (Best International Act), Wizkid (Best African Act), and British-West Indian Oscar- and Bafta-winning director Steve McQueen (Inspiration Award).

Spanish Town-born International fusion act Stylo G featured among the award ceremony’s performers.
The 2020 MOBO adopted a hybrid virtual-on set format that was broadcasted via a live stream, on YouTube, sans an audience, in accordance with the new normal brought on by the Covid-19 global pandemic.
Hosting duties were shared by Maya Jama and Chunkz.
