Jada Kingdom Unleashes Weighty ‘Budum’

Singjay Jada Kingdom releases a fun, fanciful video for the single Budum. The wildly popular young artiste commences the confidence-boosting anthem with assertive lyrics “dem call mi mumma heavy, bumpa big and mi likkle flat belly; young and healthy, mi nuh dun like credit.

The accompanying video showcases the Jamaican performer gleefully frolicking across multiple whimsical scenes, sometimes interacting with computer-generated imageries, along with a supporting cast of equally capable dancers.

Butterflies, animated emojis and even a rabbit feature prominently in the decor of the colourful background aesthetic of the fairytale-like visuals of the video. Kingdom, who also goes by Twinkle, furthers the self-love narrative cheekily singing the lyrics “mi nuh regula, dem love how mi walk, thick like ah rass,” while executing choreographed ‘heavy’ sequences.

The singer previously made major waves when she garnered significant buzz through high streaming and airplay impressions from the hit singles Banana, Heavy!, and Tek It (featuring Skillibeng).
