Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Chronixx releases new Cool As The Breeze/Friday single, with an accompanying video, ahead of his highly anticipated Soul Circle Music album, Dela Splash.
“Memba everyday ah summer when yuh deh ah Jamaica,” the artiste animates over the pulsating dancehall beats of the new single. The enchanting Pantha-produced single, Chronixx shares, is an ode to capital city Kingston. The vibrant celebratory atmosphere of Cool As The Breeze/Friday’s lyrics were expertly and effortlessly curated, translated and paraded, by British-Nigerian film director Meji Alabi, from the start to the end of the video.
“This tune is about everyday people of the world, but really a song about us in a Jamaican life that we live… No matter the intensity of the heat, and no matter how hot the reality get, we still haffi remain cool as the breeze you now,” Chronixx describes the song.
The masterful musician previously whetted the appetites of the eagerly awaiting fans with two introspective and instructional releases, Dela Move and Same Prayer; both are also featured on the upcoming sophomore effort.
Dela Move is a nod to the singer’s beloved hometown, Spanish Town; the latter is a reverent composition featuring Kabaka Pyramid.
