The artwork and the name of the track made us run and listen to the brand new track The Blacker The Berry by Kendrick Lamar and to our surprise we hear dancehall star Agent Sasco heavy DJ vocals in the chorus.
We caught up with Sasco who told OAJ:
I’m happy to get oppotunities to represent dancehall, reggae and the Jamaican perpective and with heavyweights like Kendrick, the reach and impact is greater.
The Blacker The Berry song is powerful and timely. I have to says nuff respect to Boi-ida and Kendrick for including dancehall in their vision for the record … I’m grateful .
