Soca superstar Machel Montano jumps in to acting in new Triniadadian movie Bazodee.
The movie premièred recently at the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival with a lot of rave reviews.
Bazodee is written by Bajen born Claire Ince, produced by her Tobagonian husband, Ancil McKain and directed by Todd Kessler who describes the movie as Triniwood and not Bollywood.
Bazodee is musical drama about a young soca singer Lee played by Machel who who falls for a beautiful young East Indian woman Anita, played by the beautiful London-born newcomer Natalie Perera. Anita is engaged to a man she doesn’t love and falls for Lee and that is where the drama starts.
We can’t wait till it gets on the Jamaican screens and applaud everyone involved as we need to see more movies coming out of the Caribbean.
