This Monday night we went to top Japanese restaurant Roe in Kingston, to attend a private listening party for Sly & Robbie’s latest album Reggae Power 2.
Sly & Robbie joined up Spicy Chocolate to produce complication of new music that varies from Reggae, Dancehall, & EDM.
Spicy Chocolate, a popular musical trio based in Japan, is excited to have worked with two of the biggest names in the world of reggae music. “We are honoured to have collaborated with the legendary Sly & Robbie on The Reggae Power 2, which is a follow up to last year’s Grammy-nominated first instalment”.

Reggae Power 2 has 15 tracks and features artists such as Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Demarco, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Cherine Anderson, TOK, Romain Virgo, Tanto Metro & Devante, Richie Spice, and rising new acts Devin Di Dakta and Skip Marley son of Cedella Marley.
The night was star studded and brought out most of the artists featured who on the album and some who came to support such as Sean Paul, Protoje, Sevana and Suku from Ward 21. The event was hosted by the ever bubbly Sparks from Zip 103 FM and was a great night had by all.
