A subject that is swept underneath the mat in today’s society, new singer on the block Ifertari sings out on.
‘Black Skin’ was written about my personal experience with a guy I cared about who told me I was too black and wasn’t brown enough to ride in the front seat of his car or even to be his girl.
It is something that happens to a lot of young women in Jamaica and I just wanted to write something that they could connect with Ifertari told o-access JAMAICA.
Black Skin is the 1st track produced by Cali Bud son of the legendary producer Bobby Digital and is digitally released on the April 2, 2013 on the Kingston Music Institute label.
