Kicking of our first Music Mondays is coming from two Dancehall stars.
Aidonia – Occupied Mind
Aidonia is back …. lets say it again … Aidonia is back! with Occupied Mind. After a hiatus with heartache from the loss of his son Khalif 3 year battle with cancer, one of Dancehall’s best wordsmiths kept his mind occupied with music and focused on family. This 23 track project is something that Aidonia wanted to do to keep his fans full with new music.
“It’s not an album but a project to hold the space weh mi ago take off and focus on mi family and mi personal life fi a minute…we ready again for the early part of next year again to start doing some new music. The official album is gonna come next year and once mi come back from da break deh it will be time fi focus on the album coming definitely next year,”
This project is a dancehall album that was needed to close of 2023 Aidonia’s unique flow, is fun and playful lyrics with splashes of thought provoking words. we got to give it up to the production, which wasn’t the dark thin out no bass riddims that we have been stuck with pre and post pandemic, so big up’s to the executive producer is Banger House Music Group, with other producers, Haunted House, Emudio, Darshan, Cashflow Big Project, and Mill Beatz.

Masicka – Greatness of Kings
Masicka has been one of the most talked about rising Dancehall artist and his debut album Greatness of Kings is the talk of the industry before its release. This long-awaited sophomore album, is his first album released under Def Jam Recordings. This 17-track masterpiece showcases the global phenom’s dynamic range and solidifies his status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, however were not impressed with the production with the exception of a few songs. Fight For Us feat. Nigerian singer songwriter Fave is a stand out and we cannot wait to see the video for this.
