Sean Paul Has ‘Big Weekend’ With Tove Lo & Anne-Marie

Billboard chart mainstay Jamaican artiste Sean Paul got a little help from his friends to pull off a spirited Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2020 gig.

The deejay, a couple of dancers, and his technical crew performed a number of fan-favourite singles for the BBC Radio 1-instituted performance series.

The perpetual hitmaker – who boasts an outstanding decades-long career – procured the assistance of Swedish singer Tove Lo and British pop star Anne-Marie for Calling On Me and Rockabye, respectively. Both women are Sean Paul‘s original duetting partners on the singles and, independently, accomplished songwriters and frequent global music chart entrants.

The Grammy-winning ‘toaster’ flaunted his vocal range, contributing solid harmonies to support Anne-Marie, before closing out the duet with “Mama, you can depend on me now, I see you tried you’re best” from late Reggae crooner Garnett Silk‘s Mama – a wildly popular refix of Chairmen Of The Board‘s Patches.

“One positive thought is one billion times stronger than a negative one, remember that,” the deejay noted as he brought his set to an end with Temperature.
